KIHA 82 Series are Diesel Cars for Express Train which made the debut in 1961. The top car with its top part composed with elegant curves is equipped with passage door, with which the top car can be either used as a top car of train or can be used as a middle car in a train when connected with other cars on the top. KIHA 82 Series are evaluated to be the perfection of the former JNR diesel cars for express trains.
